This course is intended for first time Basic Life Support (BLS) students or expired certifications.  

American Heart Association curriculum

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS class is for both pre-hospital and in-facility health care environments. The BLS class teaches participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED.  Both single and team CPR will be taught.

• Intended for: in-facility and prehospital healthcare providers including nurses, physicians, EMT’s, and professional rescuers.
• Time: approximately 3.5 hours
• Certification Period: 2 years 
• Testing: written test and skills check-off required - High Quality CPR/AED adult and infant and infant choking

Price includes certification eCard.  Price does not include student workbook.  If you'd like, you may purchase a hard copy workbook ($20) from Idaho CPR Plus to receive in class, or you can purchase an eBook ($15.80) from ShopCPR.heart.org.  The eBook link will be provided in your confirmation email.  

Please allow 10 days for shipping (your manual will not be shipped if you ordered it less than 10 days before the start of class and there will be no refund for this shipping charge).  If you forget your manual or have technical difficulty with your eBook, then we do provide open resources in class to assist you during your exam.
