Important Note:  This class is combined with ACLS Renewal students.  Since you have already completed your online/testining portion, you may leave at the end when the Renewal students start their written test.    

You must directly pay for and take the online portion at https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-acls. After completion, email the course completion certificate to info@IdahoCPRplus.com.  You must email this certificate 48 hours prior to class start time.  You will not be able to attend the skills session without the online Certificate of Completion.

  • Time: 3 to 5 hours, depending on number of students and skill level
  • Certification Period:  2 years 
  • Testing:  skills check-off required - High Quality Adult CPR, Airway Management, and Megacode

PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR CLASS:  This class may be difficult for you if you have not studied or prepared and if you are not familiar with basic ACLS pharmacology and ECG rhythms.  There are a number of levels of medical provider experiences in these classes, so being prepared will assist in the flow of the class for all students.  Your ACLS book, the ShopCPR.heart.org store, and other online websites have ACLS resources to assist you to prepare and successfully complete the class.

ACLS Initial Provider Course

This course is intended for first time Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) students or expired certifications.  

American Heart Association curriculum (New 2025 guidelines)

This course is designed for healthcare providers that need ACLS for their clinical duties. This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

You must complete the precourse self-assessment and precourse work and email the CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION  to info@IdahoCPRplus.com 48 hours prior to the start time of class or you will not be able to attend this class: https://shopcpr.heart.org/acls-prework

  • Intended for: physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and others as required by their employer

ACLS Instructor Course

This is an American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor course.  

  • Time: approximately 8 hours classroom (Part 1) and 8 hours initial class monitoring (Part 2)
  • Certification Period: 2 years 
  • Testing: written test and skills check-off required 
  • Fee:  includes initial class, instructor eCard, classroom monitoring, and first year of instructor alignment fee.  Does not include online ACLS instructor essentials or required ACLS Instructor Manual 

This course involves 2 parts:

Part 1 is the initial instructor led classroom portion where you will learn:

  • How to conduct your ACLS classes
  • Supplies and equipment needed for your classes
  • How to access the AHA Instructor network and utilize the resources within the program
  • How to access and navigate the class record system enrollware program 
  • How to align with your training site/center
  • Review and practice of ACLS skills including BLS skills

Part 2 involves being monitored teaching your first class within 6 months of the Part 1 classroom portion 

Before enrolling in this instructor class:

  1. Be accepted by our AHA Training Center and complete the Instructor Candidate Application on file with the Training Center

  2. Have a current AHA ACLS provider status and be proficient in all the skills.

You are required to have the current ACLS Instructor Manual (AHA Product Number 20-1107 for hard copy or 20-3101 for eBook) for this course. ACLS Renewal Class

For students with a CURRENT AHA certification. Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification must be emailed to Info@IdahoCPRplus a minimum of 48 hours prior to start of class.  If certification is expired, then student will need to take an Initial or Heartcode (blended option) class.

CPR/AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) is a great choice for both the community and workplace setting. This course will help you master CPR and AED skills and give you the confidence needed to respond to and assist someone who is in cardiac arrest or is choking.

  • Intended for: individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire to learn the skills of CPR/AED such as teachers, parents, response teams in business and industry, group leaders, students, and more!
  • Time: approximately 1.5 hours (2 hours if adding infant/child) 
  • Certification Period: 2 years 
  • Testing: skills check-off required

EMT Candidate Tour Date

PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR CLASS:  This class may be difficult for you if you have not studied or prepared and if you are not familiar with basic PALS pharmacology and ECG rhythms.  There are a number of levels of medical provider experiences in these classes, so being prepared will assist in the flow of the class for all students.  Your PALS book, the ShopCPR.heart.org store, and other online websites have PALS resources to assist you to prepare and successfully complete the class.     

You must directly pay for and take the online portion at https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-pals. After completion, email the course CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION to info@IdahoCPRplus.com.  You must email this certificate within 48 hours of class start time.  You will not be able to attend the skills session without the online course completion certificate.  

  • Intended for: physicians, nurses, paramedics,and others who direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies in pediatric patients.  
  • Time: approximatley 2 to 5 hours, depending on number of students and skill level
  • Certification Period:  2 years 
  • Testing:  skills check-off required - Infant and Child High Quality CPR, Airway Management, Vascular Access, Electrical Therapy, and Case Scenarios

PALS Instructor Course

This is an American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor course.  

  • Time: approximately 8 hours classroom (Part 1) and 8 hours initial class monitoring (Part 2)
  • Certification Period: 2 years 
  • Testing: written test and skills check-off required 
  • Fee:  includes initial class, instructor eCard, classroom monitoring, and first year of instructor alignment fee.  Does not include online PALS instructor essentials or required PALS Instructor Manual 

This course involves 2 parts:

Part 1 is the initial instructor led classroom portion where you will learn:

  • How to conduct your PALS classes
  • Supplies and equipment needed for your classes
  • How to access the AHA Instructor network and utilize the resources within the program
  • How to access and navigate the class record system enrollware program 
  • How to align with your training site/center
  • Review and practice of PALS skills including Child and Infant BLS skills

Part 2 involves being monitored teaching your first class within 6 months of the Part 1 classroom portion 

Before enrolling in this instructor class:

  1. Be accepted by our AHA Training Center and complete the Instructor Candidate Application on file with the Training Center

  2. Have a current AHA PALS provider certification and be proficient in all the skills.

You are required to have a current PALS Instructor Manual (AHA Product Number 20-1117 for hard copy or 20-3122 for eBook) for this course. If you do not already have access to one then you may purchase one at shopcpr.heart.org. You may also consider purchasing a PALS Instructor Package on the shopcpr.heart.org website as well.  The instructor manual or other instructor materials needed to teach your class is not included in the class fee.

PALS Renewal

For students with a CURRENT AHA certification. Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification must be emailed to Info@IdahoCPRplus a minimum of 48 hours prior to class start time.  If certification is expired, then student will need to take an Initial or Heartcode class. 

The PALS course uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The course offers life-like skills animations, team dynamics role play, and scenarios appropriate to different types of providers (pre-hospital and in-hospital).

  • Intended for: healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.
  • Time: approximately 6 hours - depending on number of students
  • Certification Period: 2 years 
  • Testing: written test and skills check-off required - High Quality Infant and Child CPR, Airway Management, Vascular Access, Rhythm Disturbances, and Testing Case Scenarios

This course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in Idaho. 

Learn how to care for and assist infants and children experiencing a medical emergency until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrives.  Includes Basic First Aid and CPR and AED use for children and infants.

  • Intended for: child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, coaches for children’s sports organization, others responsible for children including parents, grandparents, babysitters, and guardians. 
  • Time: approximately 3.5 hours (up to 4 hours if adding on adult CPR)
  • Certification Period: 2 years 
  • Testing: skills check-off required 
PLEASE NOTE: Young children are not allowed to accompany you in class. This may be disruptive to the other students.
